Inspect Data

In the Inspect agent located at the agents drawer, you can learn more about your data.

Inspect Views

When you select a view, it becomes active (indicated by a green line under the view title). The Inspect agent gives you information on the number of nodes and edges within it, and the type of view it is (histogram, spatial, table, etc).

Inspecting Single Nodes

Conode can provide extra context on any data point of interest.

Within the Inspect agent, you can edit and read node labels, especially if they are too long to see in the view.

When a node is selected, the Inspect agent populates a table of its neighboring nodes. Neighbors* are nodes in the graph which are connected to our selected node via an edge (line). We can find out how many neighbors our selected node has from the count at the bottom of the table as well as see their values. If a node contains attached information such as a document, video or image, this can be found in the Content section of the Inspect agent.

Inspect Multiple Nodes

Similarly, when you select more than one node, the Inspect agent populates a table ‘Node List’ of the full list of selected node labels. If the nodes have any content attached (video, image, webpage link, document etc) this will be indicated with a .

FYI

A node’s neighbors can be referred to as Successors and Predecessors. They also communicate the type of relationship shared between nodes. Where car is a type of vehicle and both are represented as nodes connected via an edge, the car is a successor of vehicle, and vehicle is the predecessor of car. If still unclear, please see more here.
