Navigating Inside a View
Zoom using your mouse wheel or the up/ down motion of two fingers on your mouse pad.
Pan within a view by pressing down a right-click and then dragging, or holding down the space bar
and moving your mouse around the view. The Zoom All
and Zoom Selected
buttons in the view
menu bar are useful for resetting the zoom to fit all nodes the view, and for zooming in on selected nodes.
Selecting Nodes
To select nodes, tap individual nodes with one click or draw a rectangle around multiple nodes in a view. By holding
down the shift button ⇧, you can select nodes in multiple steps. To remove nodes from your selection, press ⇧⌘ (Mac)
or ⇧cntrl
(Windows/ Linux) then highlight the nodes you wish to remove.
The number of selected nodes is shown in the bottom left corner of each view. When multiple views are open which contain the same nodes, any nodes you select in one view will also be highlighted in the other.
Reading Full Node Labels
In the case of long node labels, the full label can be accessed by first selecting the node and then navigating via
the Node
menu to Properties
, or by using the shortcut .
.
Inspecting Nodes
The Inspect
agent, located in the right-hand drawer, provides extra context on any selected data point.
For example, if a feature from a taxonomy has been selected, the inspect panel will show
all the possible values of that category. In the case of a data node having been selected, all the features connected
to that node.
Accessing Node URL, Images or Videos
Highlight node(s) and select Node
from the Tool Bar followed by either View
or Open URL/ File
